It’s our privilege and pleasure to share the glorious moment in the history of JJ SANGAMAM. Indeed! Its non-other than our Guinness Attempt and Record in the year 2002

It was then the Golden Jubilee Year for the Arch Diocese –Madras Mylapore. As we, John and Jerome the organizers of JJ Sangamam Bandare the active members of Catholic Youth Movement during that time, had an immense opportunity to celebrate the glorious 50 Years with 50 Hrs. of NON-STOP cultural. The 40 Hrs. Guinness Attempt was an outcome of such proposal

We had our attempt started on 21st September 2002 and successfully completed on 23rd September 2002 with a complete 40 Hrs. performance of music and songs taken from various category. Our successful completion and was felt by the congregation as an added glory to the Jubilee time

The 40 Hrs. attempt was also aimed to raise a considerable fund for the welfare of deprived children, especially to attend their educational needs. We are even happy today to know about the contribution we could gather out of our event for the children. We are always thankful to the Arch Diocese-Madras Mylapore and to the convenors of the event for considering us to such noble act

Slots and Happenings - Slot I - The 1st 8 Hrs. of 40 Hrs

Devotional Hits: Music and Songs from albums pertaining to various religions were taken and presented well during Slot 1. It was ideed a mystical start for the participants.

Slot II - The 2nd 8 Hrs. of 40 Hrs

Prime collections of songs from the leading Music Directors and Producers were performed to its original. We were able to cover about 110 songs from this segment. It was indeed a nostalgic moment for the audience.

Slot III - The 3rd 8 Hrs. of 40 Hrs

In this slot we had a mixture of hits from Playback Singers of various time, Tamil Folk songs and Comedy songs. We were able to present about 100 songs from this segment. Although the slot was on a nightfall, we had encouraging audience who kept us strong to the dawn.

Slot IV - The 4th 8 Hrs.of 40 Hrs

Ofcourse, its obvious that no songs could bloom out on its own, if the minds of the Directors and Lyricists don’t come together. It was a pleasant experience to have songs from selected collections of great Writers and Directors of the time as we prospered to the hot day.

Slot V - The 5th Hrs. of 40 Hrs

Heros and Heroines special has taken our attempt to its glory. We had about 120 songs in the final slot, which were sentimental, thirilling and outbursting. We almost had all major media personnel to manifest our attempt. Non-stop claps and wishes enthralled the stadium; we turned out the attempt with National Anthem
